Chaosmage
Chaos Mages can tap into the realms raw magic and wield it to cast spells. However, the powers are uncontrollable and pull at the user's sanity. Quickly, one demands too much and loses control.
Magic
The Chaosmage can cast spells. At Level 1 they know 3 spells that you can choose from the spell table (OC is part of the spells, I just needed to put it in a new line for my balancing). Every new Level choose 1 more.
Spell Power (SP)
Represents the power of your spells. Calculated by LvlB + INT.
Spell Saving Throw
When someone has to roll to resist your spell, they must roll at least 8 + SP.
2 AP Magical Ranged Attack
Execute a magical Ranged Attack against a target within a range of 9 sq. This deals 1w6 + SP damage. Now, choose how the magical Ranged Attack should appear and what type of damage it deals. This can only be changed at the next Levelup.
Unlimited Power
The Chaosmage uses Mana (Mental Power) to cast spells. However, unlike other classes, the Chaosmage can cast spells even if they don't have enough Mana. If they do so, they must roll on the Chaos Table after casting the spell.
Overcharge OC
When the Chaosmage casts a spell, they can spend double the Mana to trigger an additional effect.
1 AP Draw off Chaos Energies
Get a random beneficial effect from the raw magical energies of the realm. You can use this skill 3 times per Long Rest. Effects (other than Mana) expire at the end of combat or when invoked outside of combat. Roll 1d6 and look below to see the effect:
- Gain +2 Mana.
- The nearest ally (you decide on a draw) gains +1 Mana. If no ally is within 100 sq, you gain the Mana instead.
- Get a defence die of 1d6. It reduces the next incoming damage by 1d6.
- Get a damage die of 1d6. It increases the damage of your next Attack or Spell by 1d6.
- Teleport exactly 6 sq away from your current position to an empty square of your choosing.
- Gain +4 DP.
Level 2: The 3
Like the ocean, raw magic also has tides. When the chaotical energies are exceptionally present, the mage can establish a connection to it and use them to their advantage.
When rolling a 3 on a damage dice, you may roll the dice again and add the new result to the damage. Additionally, you gain +1 Mana. This ability can be triggered only once per round.
Level 2: 1 AP Strain of Time
Invoke chaos on an object. You can age it. Make a plant grow, let food rot, or accelerate the combustion process.
You can make an object of up to 1 F size 1 year younger or older, but you can not make things completely disappear.
Level 5: Subclass
Choose a Subclass. Subclasses are specializations for your class that give you extra skills at the levels 5, 10, 15, 20. For the Protector you can choose between the following:
