Priest

The Priest draws their power from a deity. As long as they follow its teachings, they can wield magic of seemingly boundless power, aiding their allies and punishing their enemies. However, there are also Priests who haven't received their power from benevolent gods but from powerful individuals such as archmages, demons, and monsters beyond imagination. Yet, what these entities demand in return for the power can only be guessed.

Magic
The Priest can cast Spells. At Level 1 they know 3 spells that you can choose from the spell table. Every new Level choose 1 more.

Spell Power (SP)
Represents the strength of your Spells. Calculated by LvlB + INT.

Spell Saving Throw
When someone has to roll to resist your Spell, they must roll at least 8 + SP.

2 AP Magical Ranged Attack
Execute a magical Ranged Attack against a target within a range of 9 sq. This deals 1w6 + SP damage. Now, choose how the magical Ranged Attack should appear and what type of damage it deals. This can only be changed at the next Levelup.

Resource: Power
The Priest uses the Spell Power (SP) as a resource. Through Verses, they can increase it and then reset it to the standard value when casting a spell. The SP can never be higher than twice the standard value. If it is 2 + 2 (= LvlB + INT), for example, you can get a maximum of 4 extra Power, thus a maximum of 8 SP.

1 AP Verses
With (un)holy verses, the Priest can invoke the power of their patron, enhancing their spells.

At any time, the Priest can recite one of the verses listed below for 1 AP. Each verse can only be recited once per round and grants 1 Power. Each point of Power increases the SP of the next spell by 1. To invoke a Verse choose an ally (including yourself) or an enemy within 18m and give them one of the following effects:

• 1d6 extra damage (holy) on the next attack.
• 1d6 defence die. It can be used once to reduce damage by 1d6. The die expires when it's your turn again.
• 1d6 extra squares of movement rate (or feet of jump height or distance).

Level 2: Control Power
You can choose how much power to use for each spell.

Level 2: 2 AP Channel Power
Invoke a combat prayer to your patron. You gain 4 SP.

Level 2: 1 AP Minor Miracle
Cast one of the following minor miracles. Range: 20 sq.

  • Alter Appearance slightly, e.g., eye color.
  • Light.
  • Harmless Tremor (vibrations in body or ground, etc.).
  • Make your voice 3 times louder.
  • Create a brief sound, such as thunder, crow's cry, whisper

Level 5: Subclass
Choose a Subclass. Subclasses are specializations for your class that give you extra skills at the levels 5, 10, 15, 20. For the Priest you can choose between the following:
